32D-Link DAP-3662 User ManualSection 3 - ConfigurationWireless Resource ControlThe Wireless Resource Control window is used to configure the wireless connection settings so that the device can detect the better wirelessconnection in your environment.Wireless band:Band Steering:Band Steering Age:Band SteeringDifference:Band SteeringRefuse Number:Connection Limit:User Limit:Select 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.Use the drop-down menu to Enable the 5G Preferredfunction. When the wireless clients support both2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and the 2.4 GHz signal is notstrong enough, the device will use 5G as higherpriority.Enter the time in seconds to specify the interval ofupdating information.The 5G preferred difference value is equal to thenumber of 5 GHz wireless client connections minusthe number of 2.4 GHz wireless client connections.If the number of 5 GHz wireless client connectionsminus the number of 2.4 GHz wireless client connec-tions exceed this value, the extra 5 GHz wireless clientconnections will be forced to connect to the 2.4 GHzband and not the 5 GHz band.Enter the maximum 5G connection attempts allowed before the 5G preferred function will be disabled for the wirelessstation connection.Select Enable or Disable. This is an option for load balancing. This determines whether to limit the number of usersaccessing this device. The exact number is entered in the User Limit field below. This feature allows the user to share thewireless network traffic and the client using multiple APs. If this function is enabled and when the number of users ex-ceeds this value, or the network utilization of this AP exceeds the percentage that has been specified, the DAP-3662 willnot allow clients to associate with the AP.Set the maximum amount of users that are allowed access (zero to 64 users) to the device using the specified wirelessband. The default setting is 20. |
