MOWER DECK REMOVAL &INSTALLATIONNOTE: Perform mower removal and installation on ahard, level surface such as a concrete floor.WARNINGEngage parking brake, disengage PTO, stopengine and remove key before attempting toinstall or remove the mower.Removing the Mower Deck1. Turn the PTO off, put the control levers in PARK posi-tion, turn the ignition OFF, remove the key, and waitfor all moving parts to stop.2. Pivot the rider's front wheels forward.3. Place the cutting height adjustment crank (D, Figure10) in the lowest cutting position.4. Release tension on the drive belt using the mowerbelt release lever (E, Figure 10) and remove the drivebelt from the engine pulley.5. Disconnect the front hitch by removing the hitch rodand clip (A, Figures 10 & 11), and lifting the mowerhitch (B) up and off the rider hitch bracket (D).6. Slide the mower deck forward until the rear mowersupports (C) disengage the frame of the rider.7. Slide the mower deck out from under the right side ofthe rider.Installing the Mower Deck1. Pivot the rider's front wheels forward.2. Place the cutting height adjustment crank (D, Figure 10)in the lowest cutting position.3. Slide the mower deck under the right side of the rider.Slide the mower backwards making sure that the rearmower supports (C, Figure 11) slide up the ramps onthe frame. The rear of the mower is supported bythese frame ramps.4. Hang the mower hitch (B, Figure 11 ) on the riderhitch bracket (D) and secure with the hitch rod andclip (A).5. Use the mower belt release lever (E, Figure 12) torelease tension on the mower idler pulley, and installthe drive belt as shown in Figure 12.Figure 10. Mower ComponentsA. Hitch Rod and ClipB.
