The tension is correctwhen you can pull the chain 1/8"from the bar and it snaps back whenreleased. (see figure 5) The chainshould not sag away from the bar.front of the saw head to loosen ortighten the chain as needed. When thechain is the correct tension, tighten thetwo socket head screws that hold thebar clamp in place.Do not over-tighten the chain as thiswill lead to premature wear of thechain and bar. Over-tightening canalso reduce battery life and cause thecircuit breaker to trip.Check the tension on the chain oftenwhen it is new. New chain stretches inthe initial few hours of use.OILING THE CHAINOil the chain before each use withunused SAE30 weight motor oil or sawchain oil. Lubricate the chain along itsentire length.CONNECTING POLE SAWATTACHMENTTO THE POWERHANDLEBe sure to follow the following safetyprecautions when attaching anddetaching tools from the power handle.Remove the battery from the handlebefore attaching or detaching tools.Never touch the control switches onthe power handle when attaching anddetaching toolsTo attach the pole to the powerhandle:1.
