This raises thesaddle. (NOTE: To avoid damage to thecylinder it the load exceeds the ratedcapacity of the jack, oil is automaticallyreleased back into the reservoir throughthe safety overload valve.)When the ram reaches maximumextension, oil is bypassed back into thereservoir to prevent an over-extendedram stroke and possible damage to thejack.Opening the release valve allows oil toflow back into the reservoir. This releaseshydraulic pressure on the ram, whichresults in lowering the saddle.HOW TO USE YOUR JACKRAISING THE JACK• Chock the vehicle wheels withappropriate devices to prevent vehiclefrom moving and to ensure lifting stability.Close the release valve by turning thejack handle clockwise until tight. (see Fig.3)• Refer to the vehicle manufacturer'sowner's manual to locate approved liftingpoints on the vehicle. Position jack sothat the saddle (see Fig. 3) is centeredunder the load at an appropriate lift point.• Pump jack handle until saddle ALMOSTcontacts the vehicle. Check to see thatthe saddle is centered and will contactthe load lifting point firmly.• Continue to pump the jack handle to liftthe vehicle to the desired height. Afterlifting, support the load with appropriatelyrated vehicle support stands BEFOREworking on the vehicle.LOWERING THE JACK• SLOWLY open the release valve byturning the handle counterclockwise.Never more than 1/2 turns.CAUTION: Keep hands and feet clear ofthe jack hinge mechanism and groundcontact area when lowering the load!SPECIFICATIONSRated Capacity: 2 Ton/4000 LbJack Dimensions: 27-3/4" x 12-1/8" x 6-1/4"Lifting Range: 3-3/4" - 18-1/2" (Approx.)Oil Capacity: 150 c.c.Net Weight: 42.5 Ibs.
