TO REMOVE BLOWER CHUTE1. Graspblowerchute withone handand pull lock rod on mountingbracketwith otherhand towardengineto release.Referto Figure8 in the ASSEMBLYsection.2. Removeblowerchutefrom overthe rim of the dischargeopening.USING THE NOZZLE VACUUM1. Placenozzle/hosevac leverin the top positionon the nozzletovacuumthroughnozzle.See Figure15.2. Thespringloaded pin mustbe in the first hole(closestto the endof the tube)of the hoseadapterto operatethe nozzlevac.3. Placebothhandson top of the upper handleand fully lift the drivecontrolagainstthe upperhandleto propel the unitoveryard.4. Use the speedcontrolto chooseeitherthe highor low speed.Thespeedcontrolmay be movedeitherwhilethe unitis propellingorbeforeengagingthewheels.InnerFlapOuterFlal:Figure14IMPORTANT:Movethe speedcontrolonlywhenthe engineis running.Changingthe speedcontrolsettingwith the engineoff candamagetheyardvacuum.Yardwastesuchas leavesand pine needlescan be vacuumedupthroughthe nozzlefor shredding.After materialhas beenshreddedby theflail bladeson the impellerassembly,it will be dischargedintocatcherbag or throughblowerchute.Do notattemptto shredorchipany materialotherthan vegetationfoundin a normalyard(i.e.branches,leaves,twigs,etc.)Avoidfibrousplants suchas tomatovinesor palmfronds untiltheyare thoroughlydriedout. Materialssuchas stalksor heavybranchesup to 1-1/2"in diametermaybe fed intothe chipperchute.Vac Leverspecifiedon the machineor in this manual.Personalinjuryorto the machinecould result.IMPORTANT:Theflail screenis locatedinsidethe housingin thedischargearea. if the flail screenbecomesclogged, removeand cleanas instructedin the SERVICE& MAINTENANCEsection. Forbestperformance,it is alsoimportantto keepthe chipperbladesharp.Do notat any time makeanyadjustmentswithoutfirststoppingengine and disconnectingspark plugwire.USING THE HOSE ASSEMBLY1.
