Align the flex shaft connector cap (6) wfth thecutting tool motor housing (8) (see Fig. 3).NOTES:a) Carefully align the square end of the flexshaft center core so it will engage into thesquare hole in the collet.b) Make sure the keyway (7) in the inside ofthe connector cap aligns with the matching key(8) on the motor housing.c) Oocasionally the flex shaft inner core mayslide out of the outer casing durthg handling. Ifthis should happen, simply reinsert the innercore into the outer casing from the connectorcap end of the flex shaft. Rotate the ironer coreto ensure the square end is properly engaged inthe collet assembly.7. When shaft center core and connector cap areproperly aligned, slide the connector cap fullyonto the motor housing. Lock connector capinto place by pressing on the quick connectlever (g).9Fig. 38.
