• Lifttheadjustmentrodawayfromthe bearingplateandremovetherearbase.• Withfrontandrearbaseassembliesremoved,placethetoolupsidedownona workbenchandcleanwoodparticlesandresinfrombearingplateandsurroundingareas.NOTE:Alsocleanthe blade,bladewashers,etc.• Replacethe rearbase.Positionthe adjustmentrodinitsproperplaceasshowninfigure25.• Securethe rearbaseinplacewiththetwo springs.Hookoneendof eachspringinthenotchoneachsideoftherearbase.Usingneedlenosepliers,stretcheachspringandhookit overthetabsonthebearingplate.• Reassemblethefrontbase.Replacethescrewsandtightensecurely.• Reinstalltheblade.Tightenthe bladescrewsecurely.• Reassemblethebottomshoe.Tightenthefourscrewssecurely.(ES)TAB(S) REARBASEABEARINGPLATE SPRING(S)Fig. 28CAUTION: Blade tips are sharp.
