The guard is NOT safe for cutting operation. Using this tool forcutting operation will create a hazard that can result in serious personal injury.!INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING THE DISC GUARD (See Figs. 2A, 2B, 2C)Make sure the grinder is unplugged before making any adjustments.For work with grinding discs, the disc guard must be mounted.The projections on the disc guard (10) ensure that only a guard that fits thisangle grinder can be mounted. Loosen the Clamp Adjusting Nut (See Fig. 2A).To install the guard align the guard projections with the matching grooves on thespindle housing (See Fig. 2A). Push the guard down as far as it will go.Rotate the guard to a working position (See Fig. 2B example).INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING AUXILIARY HANDLE (See Figure 3)NOTE: This handle should be used at all times to maintain complete control of the tool.You have the option of two working positions to provide the safest and mostcomfortable control of your angle grinder. The handle screws clockwise into eitherhole, located on each side of the gear case.INSTALLING THE DISCS (See Figures 4A, 4B, 4C)Clean the spindle, disc and inner and outer flange before installing disc.The spindle must be locked into stationary position by means of the spindle lockbutton (3) when clamping or loosening discs and outer flange. (See Fig. 5)Put the inner flange onto the tool spindle. Ensure it is located on the two flatsof spindle. (See Fig. 4A)Place the disc on the tool spindle and inner flange. Ensure it is correctly positionedwith the raised center portion resting on the inner flange. (See Fig. 4B)Thread the outer flange onto the spindle by hand. Make sure the flange is facing inthe correct direction with the raised portion facing towards the disc (see Fig. 4B).Press in the spindle lock button to prevent spindle rotation. Keeping the lock buttonpressed in, use the provided spanner to tighten the outer flange onto the disc.Insert the two protrusion tips of the spanner into two of the flange holes and turnclockwise to tighten (See Fig. 4C). Release spindle lock button.OPERATION cont.Note: After installing disc and before turning tool on, check that the disc is securelyinstalled and that it turns freely.
