12 ― EnglishBATTERY PACK AND CHARGERBATTERY CHARGING■ Use only with 60V Craftsman batterychargers. The battery charger supplied isspecifically designed for the Lithium-Ionbattery used in this tool.■ Check the power voltage! Battery chargersoperate on 120 V.■ Charge the battery between 35.6°F and109.4°F. This ensures an optimum batteryservice life.■ Protect the battery from heat, fromcontinuous exposure to sun and keep awayfrom radiation or other heat sources. Do notleave the battery in the tool in direct sunlightover long periods.■ The battery is supplied uncharged. Fullycharge the battery before using the tool forthe first time. The Lithium-Ion battery canbe charged at any time without reducingits service life. Interrupting the chargingprocedure does not affect the battery.CHARGER LEDS■ If the battery is not inserted into thecharger, a continuous red LED light indicatesthat the plug is plugged into an outlet socketand the battery charger is ready for operation.■ Charging: a flashing green LED on thecharger indicates that the battery is chargingnormally.■ Charged: continuous green LED on thecharger indicates that the battery is ready foruse.■ Technical Issue: a flashing red LED light onthe charger indicates that battery pack has acharging problem or might be defective.- One possible condition is the batterytemperature is not within the chargingtemperature range of 35.6°F - 109.4°F orthe charging current is too high. As soon asthe permitted temperature and the chargingcurrent ranges are reached, the batterycharger will automatically switch to charging.- If the temperature range and chargingcurrent are correct and flashing red LEDlight continues, then remove and reinstallthe battery pack. If the LED status repeats asecond time, try to charge another identicalbattery. If the battery charges normally,dispose of the defective battery pack (seeEnvironmental Safe Battery Disposal section).- If the flashing red light continues afterinstalling the second battery, the charger maybe defective. Replace with a new one.■ After continuous or repeated chargingcycles without interruption, the chargermay warm up.
