MaintenanceFilter_, WARNING: To reduce the risk ofinjury from accidental starting, unplugpower cord before changing orcleaning filter.NOTE: This filter is made of high qualitypaper designed to stop very smallparticles of dust. The filter can be usedfor wet or dry pick up. Handle the filtercarefully when removing to clean orinstalling it. Creases in the filter pleatsmay occur from installation but creaseswill not affect the performance of thefilter.Filter CleaningYour filter should be cleaned often tomaintain peak Vac performance.Be sure to dry the filter before storing orpicking up dry debris.IMPORTANT: After cleaning, check thefilter for tears or small holes. Do not usea filter with holes or tears in it. Even asmall hole can cause a lot of dust tocome out of your Vac. Replace itimmediately.4. Gently push on the filter plate to seatthe rubber ring of the filter inside thecircular channel of the filter plate.5. Place the filter nut onto the threadedscrews and tighten it down. Fingertighten only.NOTE: Lever of filter nut should be awayfrom plate as shown.IMPORTANT: Do not over tighten as thismay deform or crack the filter cage orfilter plate.NOTE: Your filter has a purple stripe thatmatches an in-store disptayer. When youvisit your local Sears store, justremember the color of your stripe for thecorrect size filter._ Fitter Nut__ Filter P,ateLatch (2) CageHeadFilter Removal and ReplacementIMPORTANT: To reduce the risk ofdamage to the blower wheel and motor,always reinstall the filter before using theVac for dry material pickup.Filter Removal:1. To remove the filter for cleaning orreplacement, unscrew the filter nutfrom the filter cage, remove filter plateand lift off filter.2. To replace the filter, carefully slide thefilter over the filter cage, sliding it overthe center ring covering the three slotsuntil the filter stops against the powerhead.3. Place the hole in the filter plate overthe threaded screw of the filter cage.•Drum
