Maintenance (continued)Filter Removal and InstallationIMPORTANT: To reduce the risk ofdamage to the blower wheel and motor,always reinstall the filter before using theVac for dry material pickup.Filter Removal:1. Hold the filter tabs of the Qwik Lock TMfilter in each hand.IntegratedFilter Plate PUSHwith Center DOWN PULLHole _ uPFilter RubberTabs (2) Gasket atBottom ofFilter (cutawayview)2. With one thumb on the Qwik Lock TMstud, which protrudes through the inte-grated filter plate, lift up on the filtertabs while pushing down on the stud.3. This action will cause the filter torelease from the filter cage. Slide filteroff cage.Filter Installation:Qwik Lock TMStud1. Carefully slide the Qwik Lock TM filterover the filter cage and press down onthe outside edge of the filter until therubber gasket on the bottom of the filterseats securely around the base of thefilter cage and against the lid.2. Align the small center hole in the top ofthe filter over the Qwik Lock TM stud onthe filter cage. Press firmly on top ofthe filter near the stud to allow the filterto snap over the ball on the end of thestud. The filter is now attached.NOTE: Failure to properly seat thebottom gasket could result in debrisbypassing the filter.13
