Adjust thescanning intensity in the application software before scanning thedocument.• Exercise caution when scanning perforated documents. Documents with aragged edge along the perforation may jam and become damaged.• Exercise caution when scanning documents with a glossy finish orcolored background, since they may be misdetected as double feddocuments. If misdetection of double feeds occurs often, turn off DoubleFeed Detection. (See p. 46).
