22 Installing the ScannerConnecting the Scanner to Your PCThis section describes the procedure for connecting the scanner to a computerusing a USB connection.USB Interface Connection• If the interface is not Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compatible, the scanning speedwill be slower.• Be sure to use the USB cable bundled with the scanner or a Hi-SpeedUSB2.0 compatible cable with the length less than 5 m.• When using a USB extension card that supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0, besure to choose one verified for use with the scanner. (See p. 15.)1 Connect the type A plug to the scanner.2 Connect the type B plug to the computer.Note• The CR-25/55 passed the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certification test. However,computer operations are not guaranteed for all standard equippedcomputer USB interfaces.
