Chapter 1010-110.1 Basic Construcion10.1.1 Outline 0006-3574The ADF is a feeding device used exclusively for stream reading, and its series of operations (original pickup,feeding, delivery) is performed using the drive of the ADF motor (M3).An original picked from the original placement assembly is controlled so that its movement will match the read starttiming of the host machine's contact sensor. Then, the original is moved as far as stream reading position, read by thecontact sensor (for collection of analog image data), and sent to the delivery assembly.The ADF has 3 sensors to monitor the state of the original.
