5.1 Preparation– 17 –Adjust the height of the examinee’s eyeNOTE: Have the examinee remove contact lenses or spectacles, if he/she is wear-ing any.(1) Turn the roller toward you in order to move the measurement head away fromthe examinee.(2) Have the examinee sit and place his/her chin and forehead rest and foreheadrest.(3) Adjust the height of the chinrest by pressing CHINREST switches so that theeye of the examinee isaligned with the heightadjustment mark on the facerest.CAUTIONEnsure that the examinee has not placed his/her hand orfingers under the chin rest. Otherwise, fingers may behurt.CAUTIONWipe the forehead rest with ethanol or glutraraldehydesolution to disinfect it each time a different examineeuses it, in order to prevent infection.Please consult a specialist for the procedure of disinfec-tion.If you are using disinfectant other than those specifiedabove, or if you are mixing another disinfectant with etha-nol, please also consult a specialist, because they mayharm the forehead rest.CAUTION Change the chin rest paper each time the examineechanges in order to keep the chin rest clean.6!!!
