164Replacing the Date BatteryIf the Set Date/Time menu appears when you turn on the camerapower, the date battery charge is low and the date and time settingshave been lost. Please replace the battery with a commerciallyavailable lithium coin battery (CR1220) with the following procedures.1 Turn off the power and slide thebattery cover in the direction of thearrows.2 Remove the AA-size batteries, thenpull out the battery holder byhooking your fingertip under thebottom of the battery holder edge.3 Remove the old date battery andplace a new date battery into thedate battery holder with thepositive terminal (+) facingupward.4 Replace the date battery holder, replace the AA-sizebatteries and close the battery cover.Please note that the first date battery may appear to expire relatively quicklyafter you purchase the camera. This is because it is installed in the cameraat the point of manufacture, not when you make the purchase.WarningBe particularly careful to keep the date batteries out of the reach ofchildren.
