The following table provides an outlineof machine operation occurring from when the power switch is turned on to when printingends and Main Motor (M1) stop, indicating the purposes of intervals and engine operation.Interval Purpose RemarksWAIT(Wait)From power-ON until initialdrive for Main Motor (M1) iscompleted. To clear potential from the drumsurface and to clean the transferroller. Also to bring the heatertemperature up to the targetedtemperature.Detect whether theToner cartridge isinstalled or not.STBY(Standby)From the end of the WAITperiod or the LSTR perioduntil the print command issent from the main controller.Or, from the end of the LSTRperiod until power switch isturned OFF.To keep the printer ready toprint.INTR(initialrotation)From the input of the printcommand from the maincontroller until the PickupSolenoid (SL1) is turned ON.To stabilize the photosensitivedrum sensitivity in preparationfor printing. Also to clean thetransfer roller.PRINT(print)From the end of the INTRperiod until the PaperLeading Edge Sensor(PS751) detects the trailingedge of paper. To form image on thephotosensitive drum based onthe VIDEO (/VDO, VDO) signalsinput from the main controller, and to transfer the toner imageonto paper.LSTR(lastrotation)From the end of PRINTperiod until the Main Motor(M1) stops. To deliver the last papercompletely out of the printer.Return to the INTRperiod as soon asanother print commandis sent from the maincontroller.T-2-1
