To record in HDV standard werecommend using tapes specificallydesigned for high definition.1 Slide fully in thedirection of the arrow and open thecassette compartment cover.The cassette compartment opensautomatically.2 Insert the cassette.• Insert the cassette with the windowfacing the grip belt.• To remove the cassette pull it straightout.3 Press the mark on thecassette compartment until it clicks.4 Wait for the cassette compartmentto retract automatically and closethe cassette compartment cover.I MPORTAN TDo not interfere with the cassettecompartment while it is opening or closingautomatically, or attempt to close the coverbefore the cassette compartment has fullyretracted.Be careful not to get your fingers caught inthe cassette compartment cover.NOTESIf the camcorder is connected to a powersource, cassettes can be inserted/removedeven if the switch is set to (CHG).I nse rting and Re moving a Me mor y CardUse only commercially available miniSDcards.1 Turn off the camcorder.2 Open the LCD panel.3 Open the memory card slot cover.4 Insert the memory card straight withthe “miniSD” label facing up, all theway into the memory card slot untilit clicks.5 Close the cover.Do not force the cover closed if thememory card is not correctly inserted.T O REM OVE T H E M EM ORY CARDFirst push the memory card once torelease it, and then pull the card out.OPEN/EJECT
