Before Using the Scanner 9Features of the DR-3080CIIThe main features of the DR-3080CII scanner are listed below.■ Fast Document FeedingAlthough the scanner is compact, it can rapidly scan up to forty A4 sheets(both sides) per minute, and can scan documents ranging in size frombusiness cards to B4 size documents.■ Compact SizeThe scanner is extremely compact, 13.5” x 10.9” x 7.5” (W x H x D).344 mm x 278 mm x 191 mm(W x H x D).■ SCSI/USB 2.0 Interface supportedThe scanner is equipped with both SCSI and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interfacesfor connecting to a personal computer.■ Color/grayscale supportDocuments can be scanned in 24-bit color or 256-level grayscale.■ Supports a Variety of Scanning Modes*The scanner supports the following scanning modes, depending on thedocument type:● Single-sided/double-sided mode● Single-sheet/continuous feed■ Automatic Document Size Detection*The scanner automatically detects the size of a scanned document andeliminates any unnecessary space around the edges of the document whenstoring it, even when storing a document of irregular size.■ Folio ScanA folio (folded in half) document can be set for scanning as it is and thescanned images of both sides are put together in a page.■ Dropout ColorThe scanner is equipped with a “dropout color” function that allows you tospecify a color for the scanner to omit from scanned images. (Thiscorrection is made by the ISIS/TWAIN driver.)■ DeskewThe deskew function automatically straightens an image if the documentwas loaded askew. (This correction is made by the ISIS/TWAIN driver.)■ Advanced Text EnhancementThe scanner is equipped with an “Advanced Text Enhancement” mode thatallows you to clearly scan text printed on a dark background, and text thatis written in faint pencil. (This function is implemented by the ISIS/TWAIN driver.)* Available when using applications that support these functions.
