PM 1001608 000 06 Device handbook LINAX PQ3000-PQ5000 47/907.7.4 Summary alarmThe summary alarm combines the states of all monitoring functions MFx to a superior alarm-state of theoverall unit. For each monitoring function you may select if it is used for building the summary alarm state. If at least one of the used functions is in the alarm state, the summary alarm is also in the alarm state. If an optional failure-current monitoring is present, the detection of an alarm state or a breakage of themeasurement line (2mA inputs only) activates directly the summary alarm.Alarm displayThe symbol arranged in the status bar signalizes if there are active alarms or not.Acknowledgment: By acknowledging the summary alarm, the user confirms that he has recognized thatan alarm state occurred. The acknowledgment is done automatically as soon as the user selects thealarm list to be displayed locally or via web browser or if the alarm state no longer exists. Byacknowledging only the flashing of the alarm symbol stops, the symbol itself remains statically displayeduntil none of the monitoring functions is in the alarm state.Logic outputThe summary alarm can drive an output. The assignment of a digital output / relay to the summary alarmis done via the settings of the corresponding output.Reset: The state of the summary alarm - and therefore of the used output - can be reset, even if there isstill an alarm active. So, for example a horn activated via summary alarm can be deactivated. A reset maybe performed via display, via web browser, a digital input or the Modbus interface. The logic outputbecomes active again as soon as another monitoring function goes to the alarm state or if the same alarmbecomes active again.Alarm state displayThe digital or relay output assigned to thesummary alarm can be reset by means of the key. So the active alarming will bestopped. But the alarm state of the summaryalarm remains active until the alarm state nolonger exists.
