The SIM is adetachable smart card containing the user's subscription information. This allows the user to retain his or her informationafter switching handsets. The SIM has a security feature which, when enabled, will require the user to enter a valid PINbefore the modem will connect to the cellular network.From the Home page, select SIM Settings from the left navigation panel to confirm the modem recognized the SIM card.SIM STATUS should read ACCEPTED. PIN STATUS may show the PIN to be DISABLED or ACCEPTED.
