CancelPress to cancel cruise control without erasing the set speedfrom memory.Adaptive Cruise Control♦Follow Distance GapPress repeatedly to set a following gap of Far, Medium, or Near.Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) enhances traditional cruise con-trol by maintaining a driver-selected following gap between yourvehicle and a vehicle detected directly ahead. Once a speed is setusing the Cruise Control buttons on the steering wheel, the vehiclewill maintain the selected gap distance by braking or accelerating.When a slower vehicle is detected ahead, the Vehicle Aheadsymbol is displayed and the vehicle brakes moderately to maintainthe selected following gap. The ACC system may slow your vehicleto a stop behind the detected vehicle. When the ACC system isholding the vehicle at a stop, always be prepared to manuallyapply the brakes.If driver action is required to apply sufficient braking behind adetected vehicle, a visual alert flashes on the windshield and theSafety Alert Seat pulses.
