The vehicle can continue to bedriven.If this message continues to appear,have the system repaired by yourdealer as soon as possible to avoiddamage to the engine.ENGINE OVERHEATED —IDLE ENGINEThis message displays and a chimesounds when the engine coolanttemperature is too hot. The enginecoolant temperature warning lightwill also be on. Stop and allow thevehicle to idle until it cools down.ENGINE OVERHEATED —TURN VEHICLE OFFThis message displays and acontinuous chime sounds if theengine cooling system reachesunsafe temperatures for operation.The engine coolant temperaturewarning light will flash. Stop andturn off the vehicle as soon as it issafe to do so to avoid severedamage.
