Oxygen ConcentratorPN 14940837 B — 20Preventive Maintenance—ProviderIntroductionProperly maintaining the Companion 5 will ensure longer life andhigher performance. Preventative Maintenance is required every 2years at a minimum.CAUTION The Companion 5 contains electrostatic sensitivecomponents. Do not open or handle except at astatic free workstation. Do not remove cover with-out electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.Maintenance Check ListPerform the following maintenance procedures at least every twoyears or more often, as needed. The frequency of the periodicmaintenance should be based on the environment in which theCompanion 5 is used.• Inspect AC Power cord and plug for damage• Read and record hour meter• Check flow rate, concentration, and alarm functions• Replace air intake filter and HEPA filterMaintenance SchedulePreventative Maintenance Check listPerform the following maintenance procedures at least onceevery two years or more often, as needed. The frequency of theperiodic maintenance should be based on the environment inwhich the Companion 5 is used. Harsh environments may requirepreventative maintenance more frequently than every 2 years.• Replace air intake filter• Replace HEPA filterOxygen Concentration CheckCAIRE recommends the oxygen concentration be checked peri-odically as required by the provider. For non-OCSI units, CAIRErecommends a 6 month interval between concentration checks.
