Positioning and connecting en19LevellingAlign the appliance using a spirit level.Incorrect alignment may result in loudnoises, vibrations and machine"movement".1. Loosen the lock nuts using a WAF17spanner, by turning it in a clockwisedirection.2. Check the alignment of the washingmachine with a spirit level, andadjust it if necessary. Change theheight by turning the appliance feet.All four appliance feet must standfirmly on the ground.3. The lock nuts on all four appliancefeet must be screwed tightly againstthe housing using a suitable WAF17spanner. In doing so, hold the foottight and do not adjust its height.Electrical connection:WarningDanger of death!There is a risk of electric shock if youtouch live components.■ Never touch or hold the mains plugwith wet hands.■ Only pull out the mains cable by theplug and never by the cable, as thiscould damage it.■ Never unplug the mains plug duringoperation.Observe the following information andensure that:Notes■ The mains voltage and voltageindicated on the washing machine(rating plate) are the same.The connected load and fuserequired are specified on the ratingplate.■ The washing machine is onlyconnected to an alternating currentsupply via a properly installedearthed socket.■ The mains plug fits the socket.■ The cable cross-section is adequate.■ The earthing system is properlyinstalled.■ The mains cable is only replaced bya qualified electrician (if this isnecessary). Replacement mainscables are available from customerservices.■ No multiple plugs/couplings orextension cables are used.■ If an earth-leakage circuit breaker isused, only a type which displays thez symbol is used.Only this symbol guaranteescompliance with the currentlyapplicable regulations.■ The mains plug can be accessed atall times. If this is not possible, inorder to comply with the relevantsafety regulations, a switch (2-poleswitch-off) must be built into thepermanent installation in accordancewith electrical installation regulations.■ The mains cable is not kinked,squashed, altered or cut through.■ The mains cable does not come intocontact with heat sources.
