Part I: Security System BasicsView Faulted or Bypassed Points4998122475C Security System User's GuideView Faulted or Bypassed PointsTo properly arm your system, all the exterior points(doors and windows) and interior points (motionsensors, inside doors, etc.) in the system must be in thenormal (not faulted) condition. Viewing the faultedpoints helps you find faulted points (such as doors orwindows that are left open) and correct them so properarming is possible.Your command center offers two ways of displayingfaulted and bypassed point information. The first causesthe faulted or bypassed point information to scrollautomatically through the display. The second allowsyou to manually scroll through each individual pointdescription.To automatically scroll faulted or bypassedpoints:1. Ensure your command center shows idle text.The View Points> soft key will be displayed onthe third line of the command center whenthere are faulted points.2. Press the digit key. The text for Area 1 isdisplayed first followed by the number (#) offaulted points on the next line.Press the View Points> soft key toautomatically scroll through the faulted points3. The display changes to show the point textdescription of the faulted points. If there ismore than one faulted point, the display willautomatically cycle through all of them beforereturning to idle text.These displays scroll at the rate of 3 secondsper faulted point.4. If there are no faulted or bypassed points, theView Points> soft key will not appear. Instead,the display shows Area Is Off idle text.5. The display returns to idle text after scrollingthrough the faulted and bypassed pointinformation.
