en-us Environmental protection and energy-saving10During dishwashing energy isused to heat up the washing waterand dry the mineral.During the drying phase, moisturefrom the interior of the dishwasheris stored in the mineral and heat isreleased. The heat is blown outinto the interior of the dishwasherwith dry air. This speeds up andimproves drying.Zeolith drying therefore saves agreat deal of energy.Note: To avoid impairing Zeolithdrying performance, do not posi-tion dishware parts directly in frontof the intake opening or the blowopening of the Zeolith container.Do not position heat-sensitivedishware parts directly in front ofthe blow opening of the Zeolithcontainer.→"Appliance", Page 113.3 AquaSensorThe AquaSensor is an opticalmeasuring device (light barrier)which measures the turbidity ofthe washing water. You can savewater with the AquaSensor. The operation of the AquaSensordepends on the selected cycle. Ifthe soiling level is high, the wash-ing water is drained off and re-placed with fresh water. If the soil-ing level is lower, the washing wa-ter is used in the next wash cycle,so reducing water consumption by3-6 liters. In the Auto cycles thetemperature and run time are ad-ditionally adjusted to the level ofsoiling.
