9Care and cleaningWith good care and cleaning, your oven will remain clean andfully-functioning for a long time to come. Here we will explainhow to maintain and clean your oven correctly.Notes■ Slight differences in the colours on the front of the oven arecaused by the use of different materials, such as glass,plastic and metal.■ Shadows on the door panel which look like streaks, arecaused by reflections made by the oven light.■ Enamel is baked on at very high temperatures. This cancause some slight colour variations. This is normal and doesnot affect their function. The edges of thin trays cannot becompletely enamelled. As a result, these edges can berough. This will not impair the anti-corrosion protection.: Risk of electric shock!Do not use any high-pressure cleaners or steam cleaners,which can result in an electric shock.: Risk of burns!The appliance becomes very hot. Never touch the interiorsurfaces of the cooking compartment or the heating elements.Always allow the appliance to cool down. Keep children at asafe distance.Cleaning agentsDamage to the various different surfaces caused by using thewrong cleaning agent can be avoided by observing thefollowing instructions.Do not use■ harsh or abrasive cleaning agents■ cleaning agents with high concentrations of alcohol■ hard scouring pads and sponges■ high-pressure cleaners or steam cleaners.Wash new sponge cloths thoroughly before use.Removing and installing the door panelsTo facilitate cleaning, you can remove the glass panels from theoven door.Removing the door panels1. Open the oven door fully.2. Lock both hinges on the left and right using the locking pin.Note: The locking pins must be fully inserted into the holes inthe hinges.3. Lift the bottom of the inner panel slightly until the fasteningpins come out of the holder (1).4. Carefully lift the top of the inner panel until the fastening pinscome out of the holder (2).Area Cleaning agentAppliance exterior Hot soapy water:Clean with a dish cloth and dry with asoft cloth. Do not use glass cleaner or aglass scraper.Stainless steel Hot soapy water:Clean with a dish cloth and dry with asoft cloth. Remove flecks of limescale,grease, starch and albumin (e.g. eggwhite) immediately. Corrosion can formunder such flecks.Special stainless steel cleaning prod-ucts suitable for hot surfaces are availa-ble from our after-sales service or fromspecialist retailers. Apply a very thin layerof the cleaning product with a soft cloth.Aluminium andplasticGlass cleaner:Clean with a soft cloth.Enamel surfaces(smooth surfaces)To facilitate cleaning, you can switch onthe interior lighting and, if necessary,detach the appliance door. Apply com-mercially available washing-up liquid or avinegar solution with a soft, damp clothor chamois; dry with a soft cloth. Softenany burnt-on food residues with a dampcloth and washing-up liquid. For stub-born dirt, we recommend using ovencleaning gel. This can be applied directlyto the affected area. Leave the cookingcompartment open to dry after cleaning.Door panels Glass cleaner:Clean with a soft cloth.
