Allow the appliance to cool down.2. Wipe out the remaining water in the cooking com-partment using an absorbent sponge cloth.3. Clean the smooth enamel surfaces in the cookingcompartment with a dish cloth or a soft brush. Re-move stubborn food remnants using a stainlesssteel scouring pad.4. Remove limescale with a cloth soaked in vinegar,and wipe this away with clean water.5. Dry the cooking compartment with a soft cloth.6. To dry the cooking compartment completely, leavethe appliance door open for approx. 1 hour or usethe drying function.→ "Setting the drying process", Page 32Descaling20 DescalingRegular descaling is necessary to ensure that yourappliance continues to operate correctly.How frequently you need to run the descaling pro-gramme depends on the water hardness and howmany times you have used the steam-assisted opera-tions. The appliance indicates when only another 5 orfewer steam-assisted operations are possible. If you donot carry out descaling, you can no longer set any op-eration with steam.Descaling comprises several steps and takesapproximately 70 - 95 minutes:¡ Descaling (approx. 55 - 70 minutes)¡ First rinse cycle (approx. 8 - 12 minutes)¡ Second rinse cycle (approx. 8 - 12 minutes)For reasons of hygiene, the descaling programme mustbe run in full.If descaling is interrupted, you can no longer set anyoperation. To ensure that the appliance is ready for op-eration again, carry out 2 rinse cycles.20.1 Preparing descalingATTENTION!The length of time for which the descaler is left to workis based on the recommended, liquid descaler. Otherdescalers may damage the appliance.▶ Only use the liquid descaler recommended by usfor the descaling programme.If descaling solution comes into contact with the controlpanel or other delicate surfaces, it will damage them.▶ Remove descaling solution immediately with water.1. Mix the descaling solution:‒ 200 ml liquid descaler‒ 400 ml water2. Open the control panel.3. Remove the water tank and fill it with descaling solu-tion.4.
