This is a self-cleaning function.Shredder continues to run for1 or 2 seconds after shreddinghas been completed.Symptom Remedy- Make sure shredder is plugged in.- Make sure power switch is in “Auto” position.- Make sure bin is fully closed.- Check to see if bin is full. If bin is full, empty bin andreplace. Follow instructions under maintenance.- Check to see if either bin is overfull which could resultin a jam. If so, empty.- If you are unable to clear the jam, turn off and unplugthe shredder. Slowly and carefully pull the remainingpaper out. Using it for these purposesis likely to cause irreparable damage. Please do not attempt to shred more than 10 sheets/1 CDor DVD at a time. Shredder should not run more than 200 sheets/50 disks continuously. Itemsshould be centered and unit will begin and end shredding automatically. All disks should usespecific entry as noted on your shredder.MaintenanceIt is important to empty the waste bin regularly to ensure the smooth operation of thecutting cylinders. The shredder will not operate when the bin is full. Regular oilingis also necessary for proper performance.
