Use only Black & Decker recommendedattachments.• Do not insert or remove attachments/accessories when unit is running.• Do not contact moving parts.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSBattery InstallationRemove the battery holder by pulling it out as shown in figure B. Insert twofresh alkaline AA batteries making sure to match (+) and (-) terminals correctlyand reinstall the battery holder. The battery holder will only fit back into the tool oneway. If it does not seem to fit properly, don’t force it. Rotate it one half wayaround and try it again. So when transportingindividual batteries, make sure that the battery terminals are protected and well insulatedfrom materials that could contact them and cause a short circuit.Attaching AccessoriesNote: Do not attach/remove accessories when unit is running.1. To connect an attachment, line up the shape of the end of the accessory with the shaftand push it on until it snaps in place.2. Additional accessories are available bycalling toll free 1-800-544-6986.OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSHow to Operate• To operate, push the switch (Fig. A,1) in to turn on. Release the switch to turnoff. To avoid splatter from the brush, turn the Power Detail Cleaner off while the brush isstill in contact with the surface.Important: If some water leaks into the unit, it will not affect performance. However,should the unit accidentally fall into water without the battery cap in place, shake outloose liquid and allow to air dry overnight with battery cap removed.USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSCleaning and Storage1. Clean the brush in a mild detergent, rinse with water and air dry.2. To clean the unit, wipe with a damp sponge and a mild soap.3. Keep the battery holder and unit clean to assure a good seal.4. Store the Power Detail Cleaner indoors.Tips on Cleaning AgentsIMPORTANT: The Power Detail Cleaner has been designed for easy, powerfulcleaning. If you are uncertain about its use on a surface, test the attachment on a smallinconspicuous area before cleaning larger areas.• Always follow manufacturer’s recommendations when using a chemical cleaner such assprays, foams, rub-on gels, liquid detergents, or bleach solutions.• Cleaners with abrasives can damage some surfaces. Use a cleaner that is appropriate forthe surface being cleaned.
