CHANGING THE CUTTERBLADES (See Figure 9)WARNING: Do not change cutterblades without gloves.In order to change the cutter blades itis necessary to lock the cutter disc byplacing the flat wrench through theslot in the casing and cutter disc, sothat the blade can not rotate.The cutter blades are initially sharp onboth edges. The second edge can beused by removing the two Allen headscrews and rotating the bladehorizontally 180 degrees thenretighten the screws.Remove flat wrench before replacingcover and tightening cover screw. Ifnecessary, a new set of cutter blades(Cat. NO. 682044) can be obtained atany Black & Decker Service Center.CHANGING THE PRE-CUTTERBLADE (See Figure 10)WARNING: Do not change pre-cutterblade without gloves.In order to change the pre-cutterblade, it is necessary to iock thecutter disc by placing the Alien wrenchthrough the siot in the casing andcutter disc. The disc must then berotated CLOCKWISE until it locks up.Then loosen the nut CLOCKWISE.Remove the pre-cutter and replace itwith a new one (Cat. No. 918224)obtained from your Black & DeckerService Center. Position thepre-cutter blade 90° to the cuttingblades. Tighten nut COUNTERCLOCKWISE.Remove Allen wrench beforereplacing cover and tightening screw.
