Quick turns, sudden stops, or othermaneuvers in avoiding a crash, as well as a crash, can injureyour child if not properly secured in the seat or if the seat is notproperly installed in the vehicle.• There are many different types of vehicles, seat belt systems,or other occupant restraint systems in use today. Accordingly,this manual can only give guidelines for proper installation inyour vehicle. In addition to this manual, you must also readand understand the vehicle owner’s manual, which shouldaddress use of child restraints. If your vehicle owner’s manualdoes not address the installation of infant seat, please contactyour local vehicle dealer, or the vehicle’s manufacturer, toobtain this information before using this Infant Seat.• Some vehicles do not have any safe location for this InfantSeat to be installed. In addition, many vehicles do not haveseat belt systems that will adequately hold this InfantSeat in the required position. Please refer to both this manualand your vehicle owner’s manual for complete information forproper safe installation of this Infant Seat.• Never combine this Infant Seat or Base with any other InfantSeat or Base from any other manufacturer. If you are in needof an additional Base, please contact your local dealer or BabyTrend, Inc. to obtain one.• This Infant Seat is certified for use in Motor Vehicles andAircraft and conforms to all applicable Canada Motor VehicleSafety Standards.SAFETY INFORMATION3.1 About your child• This Infant Seat is designed and tested to accommodatea child of a specific range of HEIGHT and WEIGHT. Usingthe Infant Seat for a child whose weight or height isoutside of these limits will increase the risk of death orserious injury in the event of a crash. Please see theWarning label on the Infant Seat located on the child’sright side for weight and height limits for your model. Alsonoted on manual cover.• Special needs children, such as pre-term babies, may sufferdifficulties in using this Infant Seat.
