Chapter 4 Award BIOS Setup 454.2.9 Change passwordTo change the password, choose the PASSWORD SETTINGoption form the Setup main menu and press .1. If the CMOS is bad or this option has never been used, adefault password is stored in the ROM. The screen will displaythe following messages:Enter Password:Press .2. If the CMOS is good or this option has been used to change thedefault password, the user is asked for the password stored inthe CMOS. The screen will display the following message:Confirm Password:Enter the current password and press .3. After pressing (ROM password) or the currentpassword (user-defined), you can change the password storedin the CMOS. The password can be at most eight (8) characterslong.Remember - to enable this feature, you must first select eitherSetup or System in the BIOS FEATURES SETUP.
