OperationAfter the installation of sensor into process piping, thewiring of input/output terminals, the configuration ofrequired parameters, and the zero adjustment prior toperation, the flowmeter outputs a flow signal from itsterminals as soon as the fluid is sent in the pipe.6.1 Pre-operation ZeroAdjustmentZero adjustment is carried out to ensure that the outputfor zero flow is 0% (i.e., 4 mA). Although adjustment tozero is performed at the manufacturing plant prior toshipment, this procedure must be carried out once againfollowing the installation of piping in order to match themagnetic flowmeter to its operating conditions.This section describes the zero adjustment procedureusing the display unit. For AXFA11, read the applicableuser’s manual as listed in Table 1.1.IMPORTANT• Zero adjustment should be carried out before actualoperation.
