54 Navigation SystemDriving to Your DestinationDistance and Time toDestinationWhen you select a destination, thedistance to the destination is the actualroad distance of the calculated route,and “not as the crow flies.” Whenviewing a list of destinations (points ofinterest), such as restaurants, thedistance is “as the crow flies” (see Sortby Distance to Travel on page 38).The displayed time to destination maydiffer from the actual travel timebecause the time is calculated based onthe posted road speed data and yourcurrent speed. If part of your routeincludes unverified roads, the “distance”and “time to go” for that portion isestimated using 25 mph as an averagespeed.Direction ListIf you select Directions on the map orguidance screen, the display changesto:NOTE:• The map and voice guidance inunverified areas differ from those inverified areas. See Unverified AreaRouting on page 88.• Only maneuvers that occur atfreeway exits or contain freeway exitinformation will show the exit infoicon (“i” icon) on the right end of theitems in the direction list.
