Navigation System 39Place NameWhen you select this option, the displaychanges to Enter a place name screen.Enter your selection, using the on-screen keyboard.Once you select a place, the system thendisplays the Calculate route to screen(see Driving to Your Destination onpage 47).Finding the Place by NameThe Name option allows you to enterthe name of a business, and then showsyou a list of businesses with the same orsimilar names to select from. Use thename option only if you know the exactspelling of the place. If unsure, use theCategory option.Finding the Place by PhoneNumberThe Phone Number option allowsyou to select a destination by itstelephone number. Only telephonenumbers stored in the system under thePlaces (of business) option arerecognized. The system does not containresidential telephone numbers, ornumbers you may have entered in yourpersonal Address Book.Tip:If you know the phone number of a pointof interest (POI), its uniqueness makes itthe fastest entry method. When using thevoice control system, the entry should bespoken as a continuous string ofnumbers. For example, the telephonenumber (310) 555-4000 should bespoken as “Three, one, zero, five, five,five, four, zero, zero, zero.”Finding the Place by Zagat 2007The ZAGAT 2007 option allows you tofind a restaurant by the Zagat Ratinginformation.The system lets you select several items(such as metro area, region, andneighborhood) to search the restaurantyou like.
