If you are going to re-format the Drive, go to “Re-Formatting the Drive” now; you will have the opportunity toname the Drive during the formatting setup process.Mac Users:1. Locate the Drive icon on your computer’s Desktop.2. Click and hold the mouse button on the icon’s label untilit is highlighted.3. Type in a name and press Return/Enter.PC Users:1. Double-click on My Computer.2. In the My Computer window click on the Drive icon.3. In the File menu, select Properties.4. Under the General tab of the Properties window, type aname in the text field beside the Drive icon.Windows 98SE Users withnon-PushButton Drives:1. After the Drive has been properlyconnected and turned on, the AddNew Hardware Wizard shouldappear with the message: “FoundNew Hardware --> USB 2.0 Storage Adapter.” Click Next.2. You will then see the message: “What do you wantWindows to do?” with two options. Select “Search for thebest driver for your device (Recommended).” Click Next.3. In the next window that appears, check the box labeledCD-ROM drive and insert the USB 2.0 Installation CD intoyour CD drive. Click Next.4. You will then see the message: “Windows is now ready toinstall the best driver for this device…” Click Next.5. Once the software installation is complete, you will seethe message “Windows has finished installing the soft-ware that your new hardware device requires.” Click Finishand then eject the CD. You should now see a new icon (agray box with a green arrow) next to the time display onyour System Tray.
