USER’S MANUAL525VA/625VAIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSSAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSThis Manual Contains Important Instructions that should be Followed during Installation andMaintenance of the UPS and Batteries.CAUTION- ◆Intended for Installation in a Controlled Environment.◆Maximum ambient temperature 35°C.◆Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnelknowledgeable of batteries and the required precautions. Keep unauthorizedpersonnel away from battery.SETUP1 InspectionInspect the UPS upon receipt. Notify the carrierand dealer if there is damage. The package isrecyclable; save it for reuse or dispose of itproperly.2 Placement3 Check the Site WiringFault IndicatorCaution: If the site wiring fault indicator lights,get a qualified electrician to correct the buildingwiring.4 Connect the loadsFirst, connect the UPS with the AC Mains, then plug theloads into the output connectors on the rear of the UPS.To use the UPS as a master “On/Off” switch, make surethat all of the loads are switch “On”.Caution: Do not connect a laser printer to the outlets.These UPS outlets provide battery power to theequipment when utility voltage is outside acceptablelimits.5 Connect telephone /Network SurgeprotectionProvide RJ11/RJ45 connector to extend theconnection of telecommunication/ network cable.6 Connect ComputerInterface PortConnect the optional interface cable to the USBinterface port on the back of the UPS. Connectto the computer. See software document forinstallation instruction.7 Operation Test1. Connect the UPS to the wall receptacle.2. Push on the Main Switch to check the Green Line( ) LED is on.3. Connect your computer equipment with sockets of theUPS and pull off the input power cable of the UPSfrom the wall receptacle to check if the Line ( ) LEDis flashing every 3 seconds. Meanwhile, please checkif alarm buzzer is beeping.4. Try the field working condition by running someapplication programs on your computer and repeatingstep.5. Check if the UPS is initiated properly to supportcontinuous operation.6. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Plug the UPS into thewall outlet to charge the UPS for over 8 hours beforeusing the UPS.7. STORAGE:Store at -15 to +30 °C (+5 to +86 °F), charge the UPSbattery every six months.Store at +30 to +45 °C (+86 to +113 °F), charge theUPS battery every three months.192321932018001
