5 Model 480i SIP User GuideUsing the 480i Phone Using the 480i PhoneHard keysThere are hard keys on yourphone, such as Hold, Redial, Xfer,Icom and Conf that are configuredfor these call-handling features.These keys are static and cannotbe reprogrammed or changed.They are located in two differentareas on the phone.Note: The intercom feature is currentlynot available in this version of the480i IP phone.Multiple Line and CallAppearancesThe 480i has 4 hard line/callappearance buttons each with acorresponding status light.Additional line/call appearancesmay also have been set up on yourphone as softkeys. To learn moreabout this, please refer to theSoftkeys as Line/Call Appearancessection within this guide.These line/call appearance buttonsand lights can represent physicallines or calls for your extension.By pressing a line/call appearancebutton, you connect to the line ora call it represents. The line/callappearance light indicates the statusof that line or call. When the phoneis taken off-hook, the phone willautomatically select a line for you.When you have more than onecall, you can use the left and rightnavigation buttons (3 and 4) toscroll left and right to the differentcall information.
