Supplementary featuresAastra 622d 51eud-1585/1.0 – R3.0 – 04.2013Organising absences from the deskThis section explains the different options provided by your phone when youwant to leave your desk.The presence function enables you on the one hand to quickly set your personalpresence state and hence to route the incoming calls to the destination youwant. It also tells you directly whether the user you want is reachable or absentwithout you having to call him. The information details depend on the type oftelephone.Presence stateYou have a choice of 5 presence profiles for controlling your presence status:You can call up the presence of the user you want in the following situations.• when you call an internal user;• in the phone book or in a call list;• during dialling by name;Presence profile Profile num-ber Presence profile Profile num-berAvailable (default) 0 Absent 1Meeting 2 Busy 3Not available 4Notes:• External applications such as Open Interfaces Platform (OIP) can affect your pres-ence status. Example: You have a meeting in your Outlook calendar from 2 to 4pm. Your presence state changes from Available to Meeting. This presence statehas assigned a presence profile that automatically executes the appropriateaction commands, for example forwarding to voice mail. As soon as you manuallychange back this presence state to Available because the meeting has already ter-minated at 3.30 pm, the duration of your Outlook appointment automaticallyadapts to 3.3 pm.
