Place the cuff on the arm (preferably the left arm).Sit quietly during measurement.2. Press the START button.All of the display segments are displayed.Zero (0) is displayed blinking briefly.The display changes, as indicated in thefigure at the right, as the measurementbegins. The cuff starts to inflate. It is normalfor the cuff to feel very tight. A pressure barindicator is displayed, on the left edge of thedisplay, during the inflation.Note: If you wish to stop inflation at any time,press the START button again.3. When inflation is complete, deflation startsautomatically and (heart mark) blinks,indicating that the measurement is inprogress. Once the pulse is detected, themark blinks with each pulse beat.Note: If an appropriate pressure is not obtained, thedevice starts to inflate again automatically.To avoid re-inflation, see“Measurement with the SETPressure” on the next page.4. When the measurement is complete, thesystolic and diastolic pressure readingsand pulse rate are displayed.The cuff exhausts the remaining air anddeflates completely.5.
