ABOUT THIS MANUALThis manual is arranged so you can quickly and easily find theinformation you need. The following is an overview of thecontents of this manual:• Chapter 1, Introduction, familiarizes you with frame relaynetworks and FSU highlights and gives a brief explanation ofoptions that may be purchased for use with the FSU.• Chapter 2, Installation, describes the FSU connectors (pinassignments are given in Appendix A) and provides aninstallation diagram.• Chapter 3, Operation, explains how to operate your FSU usingeither the front panel or a VT 100 terminal interface.• Chapter 4, Applications, provides examples of some commonFSU applications. This chapter includes network diagrams aswell as configuration tables for each example.• Chapter 5, Configuration Overview, explains how to access theFSU configuration menu and provides menu trees for both thefront panel and the VT 100 interface.• Chapters 6 through 9 provide brief explanations for selectionsmade in the Configuration menus. These chapters are basedon the first level menu branches of the Configuration menu:DTE Ports 1 and 2, Network Port, IP Routing, and SystemConfiguration.• Chapter 10, Statistics, describes how to access statisticalinformation from the FSU.• Chapter 11, Diagnostics, explains how to access the FSUdiagnostic features, including Ping and Loopback Tests.• Appendix A provides pinouts for the FSU connectors.• Appendix B contains product specifications.
