L | TEIP11, TEIP11-PS6 Installation6.1 MountingNOTICEInstallation location requirementsPrior to installation, check to ensure that the TEIP11 andTEIP11-PS I/P signal converters meet the measurement andsafety requirements applicable at the installation location(see section "Additional documents" on page 14).6.1.1 Control room housing unit for rail mountingThis model is snap-mounted on a DIN top-hat rail.Fig. 4: Control room housing unit for rail mounting1 Terminal for signal input (covered) 2 Output3 Supply air connectionDesignThe TEIP11 and TEIP11-PS I/P signal converters have aspecial mounting base which fits all mounting rails inaccordance with EN 50022 - 35 x 7.5, EN 50045 - 15 x 5, andEN 50035 - G32.Installation instructionsFor mounting rails that are mounted in a vertical position, theelectrical connection for the device should preferably face tothe left.For mounting rails that are mounted in a horizontal position,the electrical connection for the device should preferably befacing up.6.1.2 Control room housing unit for block mountingFor this design, a special connection block is used to mountthe unit.Fig. 5: Control room housing unit for block mounting1 Terminal for signal input 2 Output3 Supply air connectionDesignThe connection block is designed for mounting a maximum offour I/P signal converters. The connection blocks can beexpanded to units of 2, 3, or 4 blocks to create block units of4, 8, 12, or 16 I/P signal converters.Installation MaterialThe material for forming the block units is delivered separatelyfor self-installation; in addition to the connection blocks, itincludes the necessary screws and gaskets (O-rings).Supply air connectionThe supply air connection for the connected devices isprovided via a central connection block. The connection blockfeatures a non-return coupling for each individual I/P signalconverter. This allows connection sites to remain unused, andindividual I/P signal converters to be dismounted or mountedduring operation.
