33The drain hose must not be kinked.Important!Before connecting the machine to newpipework or to pipework that has not beenused for some time, run off a reasonableamount of water to flush out any debris thatmay have collected in the pipes.Electrical connectionInformation on the electrical connection isgiven on the rating plate on the inner edge ofthe appliance door and in the chapter«Technical Data».Check that your domestic electrical installationcan take the maximum load required, alsotaking into account any other appliances inuse.Attention!Connect the machine to an earthed socket.The manufacturer declines any responsibilityfor damage or injury through failure to complywith the above safety precaution.The appliance is supplied with a 13amp plugfitted. In the event of having to change the fusein the plug supplied, a 13amp ASTA approved(BS1363/A) fuse must be used.Should the plug need to be replaced for anyreason, proceed as described below.The wires in the mains lead are coloured inaccordance with the following code:Green and Yellow ..............................- EarthBlue ....................................................- NeutralBrown..................................................- LiveThe wire coloured green and yellow must beconnected to the terminal marked with theletter «E» or by the earth symbol orcoloured green and yellow.The wire coloured blue must be connected tothe terminal marked «N» or coloured black.The wire coloured brown must be connectedto the terminal marked «L» or coloured red.Upon completion there must be no cut, orstray strands of wire present and the cordclamp must be secure over the outer sheathAttention!A cut off plug inserted into a 13 ampsocket is a serious safety (shock) hazard.Ensure that the cut off plug is disposed ofsafely.
