Thank you for buying a ZANUSSI productThis scale operates on 1 – 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery (installed). There is a stripunder the lithium battery cover to prevent battery drain in shipping. Please remove thestrip before continuing with these instructions.Replace the battery when the Low Battery icon “ Lo ” appears in the middle of thedisplay, or the readings grow dim or irregular. To replace the battery:NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulationsWARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries• Use one 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery• Remove the cover• Remove the old battery from the compartment.• Place the new battery with the “+” sign up into the battery compartment• Replace the battery compartment cover1 BATTERY INFORMATION• Place the scale on a hard, level surface• Press the “ON/OFF’ button to turn the scale on. The display will turn on, then showszero when it is ready for use. If the display does not show zero, press the ON/OFF’button to reset (tare) the scale to zero• Your scale is set at the factory to weigh in grams. To switch between pound/ounces (lboz), kilograms (kg), grams (g), and ounces (oz), press the “UNIT” button• Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform. The weight will display. Asyou add weight, the weight displayed increases• The scale will turn off automatically after approximately 1 minute of non-use or if thereis no change in weight after approximately 3 minutes. Press and hold the “ON/OFF’button to turn the scale off manually2 GENERAL WEIGHING OPERATION• Choose a container that will safely balance on the platform without tipping or falling. Donot use a heavy container, as this might reduce the maximum capacity of the scale• While the scale is off, place the empty container on the scale platform. Turn the scaleon. The display will turn on and then show zero. The weight of the container has beenzeroed out• Add the ingredient to be weighed. The weight of the ingredient alone will display• The weight of additional ingredients may be tared out as well. For example, if a recipecalls for ½ lb rice and ½ lb beans, place the rice into the bowl. Once the correct amount3You may wish to weigh ingredients in a bowl or other container (not included).In thiscase, you will need to tare, or offset, the weight of the bowl so that only the weight ofthe ingredients is displayed.TARE OPERATIONPlease read instruction manual carefully before using the product for the first time.Please keep instructions in a safe place for reference |
