Remove the laundry.Fluff in the garmentsDuring the WASHING AND/OR DRYINGPHASE, certain types of fabric, as sponge-cloth, sweatshirt, could release fluff.The released fluff could stick to the fabrics dur-ing the next cycle.This drawback increases with technical fabrics.To prevent the lint in your clothes, it is recom-mended:• To do not wash dark fabrics after you wash-ed and dried light coloured fabrics (newsponge, sweatshirt especially) and vice ver-sa.• To air-dry this type of fabrics when they arewashed the first time.• To clean the filter.• Perform one or more rinse cycles to wash thedrum between the washing and drying offabrics with different colours.• After the drying phase, thoroughly clean theempty drum, the gasket and the door with awet rag.Care and cleaningWarning! You must DISCONNECT theappliance from the electricity supply,before you can carry out any cleaning ormaintenance work.DescalingThe water we use normally contains lime. It is agood idea to periodically use a water softeningpowder in the machine. Do this separately fromany laundry washing, and according to the soft-ening powder manufacturer's instructions. Thiswill help to prevent the formation of lime depos-its.External cleaningClean the exterior cabinet of the appliance withsoap and water only, and then dry thoroughly.Cleaning the dispenser drawerThe washing powder and additive dispenserdrawer should be cleaned regularly.Remove the drawerby pressing the catchdownwards and bypulling it out. Flush itout under a tap, to re-move any traces ofaccumulated powder.To aid cleaning, thetop part of the addi-tive compartmentshould be removed.Cleaning the drawer recessHaving removed thedrawer, use a smallbrush to clean the re-cess, ensuring that allwashing powder resi-due is removed fromthe upper and lowerpart of the recess.19www.zanussi.com
