32Instruction for the InstallerThe following instructions about installationand maintenance must be carried out byqualified personnel in compliance with theregulation in force. The regulation to beapplied for this type of installation is NBN D5I.003 : "Installations functioning withcombustible gas lighter than air".The appliance must be electricallydisconnected before all interventions. If anyelectric supply to the appliance is required tocarry out the work, ensure all the necessaryprecautions are followed. The side walls of the unit in which the hob isgoing to be installed, must not exceed theheight of the working top.Avoid installing the appliance in the proximityof inflammable materials (e.g. curtains, teatowels etc.).Gas connectionIt is indispensible that the connection to the gas mainsare carried out by means of an AGB tap. Choose fixedconnections or use a flexible pipe in AGB (stainlesssteel). If using flexible metallic pipes, be careful they do notcome in contact with mobile parts or they are notsqueezed. Use the same attention when the hob iscombinated with an oven. This hob can be operated by Slochteren gas (G25) witha nominal pressure of 25 mbar or by natural gas withnominal pressure of 20 mbar. No regulation is required foruse by these two types of gas.IMPORTANT - To ensure a correct operation, a savingof energy and the long-life of the appliance, the voltagepressure of the appliance must correspond to therecommended values. Directives:- 73/23 - 90/683 (Low Voltage Directive);- 89/336 (Electromagnetical Compatibility Directive);- 90/396 (Gas Appliances)- 93/68 (General Directives)and subsequent modifications.Technical DataBefore fitting the appliance ensure that the installationhas the correct voltage for the appliance. At full capacity, the drop in pressure must not exceed 5%. Such a drop inpressure is caused by the following parameters:- maximum capacity of meter;- diameter and lenght of the tube in front and behind themeter;- section of transit of variuos tubes positioned on thecircuit;- diameter of eventual connections. The adjustable connection is fixed to the comprehensiveramp by means of a threaded nut G 1/2". All thecomponents shown in Fig. 2 have already been assembledin the factory. The appliance, before leaving the factory, has been testedin order to give you the best results.IMPORTANT - When the final connection has beenmade, it is essential that a thorough leak test is carriedout on the hob and installation.
