8Electric hotplatesTo switch on a hotplate, turn the relevant controlknob to the required heat setting.The conrol knob is numbered 0 - 60 - OFF1 - Minimum6 - MaximumKnobs of the hob elements can be turned bothclockwise and anti clockwise directions.In order to switch the hob element turn thecorresponding knob to the "0" position.The hob has two types of hotplates:Normal HotplatesWe recommend the plates are switched tomaximum (6) for a short while to boost the plate,and rhen adjusted to the required setting.Rapid Hotplate (Front right)The rapid hotplates indicated by a red spot, willheat up more quickly than a normal plate.Over a period of time the red spot maydisappear, this will not affect theperformance of the hotplate.It is important to note that the plate maysmoke and produce a slightlyunpleasant odour when used for the firsttime.
