Using batteriesThe NE-1 is not supplied with a battery. Before using, please purchasean S-006P (6F22) 9V battery (we recommend the use of alkaline bat-teries) and set it using the following procedure.Also, when battery power is low, the power indicator will be weak andthe sound may have noise or distortion. To prevent possible damage tothe unit due to battery leakage, etc., remove the battery when power isdepleted. Please replace the battery as soon as possible. Procedure1. Use a coin, etc., to loosen the fixing screw and open and removethe battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.2. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new battery (S-006P:6F22, 9V battery) taking note of the polarity.3. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the fixing screw.q Input Jack (INPUT)The input jack for the main unit. Connect the output of a bass guitar to thisjack. The main unit’s power will be switched ON when a plug is insertedinto this jack.* Before connecting or disconnecting the plug, make sure you turndown the volume on the amplifier, etc. that is connected to theOUTPUT jack e.w Power IndicatorWhen the Power is ON, the indicator will light.e Output Jack (OUTPUT)The output jack for the main unit. To power the NE-1, use only a single 9V (6F22) battery. For maximum battery life, always be sure the instrument isdisconnected (power off) from the NE-1’s INPUT jack when not inuse. If an exhausted battery is left in the unit for an extended period oftime, it may leak and cause malfunctioning of the unit. When thebattery becomes exhausted, always remove it and replace it as soonas possible. Do not subject the NE-1 to strong physical shock or vibration. Do notuse excessive force on any of the controls. Never use solvents such as benzene or thinner to clean the NE-1.Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. After reading the owner's manual, keep it in a safe place for futurereference. After tuning is complete, always remove the contact mic from theinstrument. Leaving the mic in place for extended periods of time willdamage the instruments lacquer finish.Never dispose of used batteries by burning them.Also make sure to keep batteries away from children.“DEEP-4” is Nathan’s Favorite Setting.r t yeqw+–
